Stress is not something we can completely eliminate from our lives and we don't always need to. There are two major types of stress: - stress that’s beneficial and motivating, which is the "good stress" and - stress that causes anxiety and even health problems, which is the "bad stress". While stress is key for survival, too much of it can be detrimental. Emotional stress that stays around for weeks or months can not only affect your performance in life and your efficiency, but also weaken your immune system and cause high blood pressure, fatigue, depression, anxiety and even heart disease. It may be hard to tell when you’re experiencing good or bad stress, but there are important ways that your body lets you know that you’re struggling with too much stress. Most common signs are inability to concentrate, often getting sick, headaches, irritability, trouble falling sleeping or staying awake, changes in appetite, being more angry or anxious than usual.
How can EFT help? During an EFT session we search for the emotional contributors to stress and the disruptions in your energy system. These usually have to do with past events in your life and your emotional responses to those events that continue to influence the way you react to circumstances in your present life, even though you may not be aware of it. We then address those past events and eliminate the disruptions, allowing the energy to flow freely through your energy system, making stress dissipate and enabling you to feel more relaxed and able to enjoy life.
